Jill Wedge
Jill has been working with words for more than 20 years, 14 of those in the
corporate arena. And having worked for agencies, freelance and client-side – she
ran the internal comms dept at Marks & Spencer during her seven years
with the retailer – Jill understands the necessity of producing publications
that give great value and perform. A former CiB, IVCA and PR Week
award-winner, Jill is NCTJ-trained and an Fellow of the British Association
of Communicators
in Business. She has extensive experience of managing large teams,
handling audits and surveys, running workshops and communicating via print,
web and
video.
Andy Douse
Andy is a multi-award winning professional communicator, with an extensive understanding of fully integrated strategic communication, planning and implementation processes. He has worked in the media industry for 20 years, latterly as a director at Trident Communications, one of the UK’s biggest providers of internal communications.
In the corporate sector, he has written for and edited scores of publications for national and international blue chip organisations. Andy is a Fellow of the British Association of Communicators in Business.
Simon Das
With ten years of journalism and award-winning editing experience within consumer magazines including i-D, Arena, Mixmag and, more recently, a three-year stint as editor of TOUCH magazine, Simon has also created contract-published magazines for TimeOut, the MOBO Awards and The Prince’s Trust.
Drawing on this experience, and as an academic at The London College Of Communication (University of the Arts London), Simon also provides communication training within the private sector.
Tessa FallowsTessa is a freelance journalist based in West London and works for a number of corporate clients including 3M, Marks & Spencer, RBS, Smiths Group and Comet.
She qualified in periodical journalism at the London College of Printing and worked in womenÍs magazines for five years before moving into corporate journalism, becoming deputy editor of staff publications for Marks & Spencer.
Tessa is on the judging panel of the CiB annual awards - Europe's biggest business communications competition.
Anne GrahamAnne has been a journalist on regional and national newspapers and television stations including the Daily Mirror and GMTV. Now she works mainly in contract publishing as a writer. Working for JWC and now Vibrant, she's had the opportunity to indulge her two passions in life: football (she worked on a footie special for McDonald's) and dogs (Anne writes for Guide Dogs for the Blind). Previous clients include SainsburyÍs, Esso, Cable & Wireless and the Home Office.
Stephen MaynardSince going freelance in 2000, Stephen has worked with corporate clients, brand consultancies, designers and PR agencies on a wide range of internal and external communications projects. For JWC and Vibrant, Stephen has reported and written on behalf of rail companies, banks, telecos and restaurants and comes up with lively, engaging copy every time.
Jane MillingtonJane has extensive regional newspaper and corporate communications experience.
As lifestyle editor with Kent Today and women's editor with Portsmouth's evening paper, The News, she specialised in health, education and consumer journalism.
Jane works with leading companies including Marks & Spencer, the Girls’ Day School Trust and LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell, producing in-house and customer publications.
Mike ParkinsonEditor and writer Mike Parkinson worked as a journalist on national and regional newspapers for 15 years before transferring to corporate communications in 2001.
His work includes employee and customer tabloids for Rolls Royce, British Gas and a train operator.
Mike is a fully qualified National Council for the Training of Journalists writer, and a full member of Communicators in Business.
Judith Fountain
Judith has some 20 years account management experience, having worked
in-house and agency-side and for a variety of clients. She's friendly,
has a huge capacity for helpfulness and attention to detail and what's
more – she's the life and soul of the party!
Whether it's commissioning photography, getting a job to print on
time or chasing up approval on copy, Judith always manages to keep a cool
head,
a calm manner and a delightful smile on her face.
Vernon Rowe
Vernon has worked in Fleet Street since 1966, with 26 years on the
Daily Mirror as an executive on news and features for most of that time. He
also worked on the staff of the Daily Express and Daily Star.
Between leaving the Mirror in the early 90s and rejoining the Express,
he spent several years editing and designing for corporate clients
including ExxonMobil (all their UK publications, plus website), Compass
Group, Pilkington.
He's consultant editor and designer for The Lord's Taverners biannual
magazine for the past 15 years. Advertorial work includes Colmans,
Wall's,
Flora.
Phil Steed
An award-winning designer of various print publications, Phil is
an experienced, fresh thinking, creative professional who is -innovative,
passionate, proactive and resourceful. Phil has more than 13 years of expertise
in internal communications from designer to key account manager, and broad
sector experience including energy, utilities, financial services, public
sector and construction.
Terry BeasleyTerry Beasley has been a news and corporate photographer for more than 30 years and has worked with Jill for some 14 years.
Always able to put his subject at ease, he never fails to deliver to budget, to schedule and with good grace. Terry makes friends wherever he goes. His work can be seen on this website and in many of the Vibrant projects.
