Vibrant hosted its first Breakfast Takeaway for specialist internal communicators at the end of March at Corney and Barrow, Paternoster Square, London. The guest speaker was Euan Semple, former BBC head of knowledge management. The key messages of his talk were that social networks need to be embraced within the corporate culture, and that this "silent revolution" should be viewed as an opportunity and not a threat."What drives the internet is the desire for humans to connect with each other. Senior staff blogs, online forums and wikis made this happen at the BBC," said Euan.
